Gary and Arlene Fritz of Brighton announce the engagement of their son, Daniel Fritz, to Brooke Ramos, daughter of Randy and Denise Ramos of East Moline, Ill.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Washington High School in Washington, Iowa, and Ellsworth Community College. He is currently a self-employed bricklayer.
The bride-elect is a graduate of United Township High School in East Moline and Western Illinois University. She works at Cambridge Investment Research Inc.
The wedding has been set for 3:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Moline, Ill. A reception will follow at The Lodge in Bettendorf.
The couple will reside in Richland.
