REC center?s Glowing Pumpkin Fun Run scheduled for Oct. 19 at East Lake

The REC Center?s Glowing Pumpkin Fun Run has been scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 19, at East Lake Park.

The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with packet pickup, registration, games, face painting and an obstacle race. The run is set to start at 7 p.m.

Participants with the most creative, scariest, funniest, or best homemade costumes will get a prize before the race begins.

Runners will have the choice of doing one lap around the path for a total of approximately 1.5 miles or two laps to complete a 5K. The event will be untimed.

The ?Sweet and Saucy? food truck will be there to serve dinner at 6 p.m. Miss K?s will be having a bake sale there as well.

Runners who sign up before Sept. 28 will be guaranteed a free shirt. For more information visit the Rec Center at 200 E Monroe St. in Mt. Pleasant.
