Red Flag Horseless Carriage Tour Saturday schedule

On Saturday, Sept. 29, a hot breakfast will be served at the New London City Park from 7-10 a.m. in the shelter house during the Red Flag Horseless Carriage Tour opening ceremony. All proceeds go toward this year's holiday events in New London.

The Red Flag tour participants will leave Mt. Pleasant for New London in a timely manner to enjoy breakfast starting at 8 a.m. at the Dover Museum. This will be followed by the starting ceremony and departure for Brighton via Mt. Pleasant between 9 and 10 a.m. There will be a rest stop at the Mt. Pleasant Golf and Country Club and an accompanied caravan for a few miles on RT. 34.

The day will continue as follows:

10:30 a.m. Amish store stop in Germanville.

11:30 a.m. Arrive in Brighton for ceremony and the Brighton Lions Club's famous pork chop lunch.

1:30 p.m. Depart for Mt. Pleasant via Wayland.

6 p.m. Banquet at Iowa Wesleyan University.
