Red Ribbon Week to be held next week

Did you know children of parents who talk to their teens regularly about drugs are 42 percent less likely to use drugs than those who don?t? Yet only a quarter of teens report having these conversations.

Students at Washington Middle School are gearing up for Red Ribbon Week 2015, which will be held next week. This year?s theme is: Respect Yourself. Be Drug Free. At school, students will engage in activities that promote a drug-free and healthy lifestyle.

One of these activities is the yearly door-decorating contests. Teachers and students are being asked to decorate their doors with a spooky Halloween theme related to being drug-free. Some have already starting working away on their final products!
