Rees family holds reunion

The 102nd annual John A. and Elizabeth (Morgan) Rees family reunion was held Saturday, June 15, 2024 in Dallmeyer Hall at the Washington County fairgrounds.

Eighty-three family members and two guests enjoyed a bountiful potluck meal. After eating, the youth enjoyed playing lawn games while the adults spent time visiting.

The oldest family member present was Marjorie Jones and the youngest was Lucy Rees. Henry and Mary Clark of Kansas City, Missouri traveled the farthest distance. Betty Gipple of Washington, Iowa, traveled the least distance.

The next reunion will be held the third Saturday in June 2025.

Officers for next year will remain the same, President, Bob Evans, Vice-President, Kay Davis, and Secretary-Treasurer, Sharon Rees.

Drink committee for next year will be Lisa Van Der Molen, chair, Mindi Rees and Megan Wheeler.
