Rees reunion held at Washington County Fairgrounds

The 100th annual John A. and Elizabeth (Morgan) Rees reunion was held Saturday, June 18, 2022 in Dallmeyer Hall at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

A group photo was taken prior to the noon meal. 168 family members and 6 guests enjoyed a bountiful potluck meal. After eating, many enjoyed a game of softball while others spent time visiting.

The oldest family member present was Marjorie Jones and the youngest was Jacob L. Rees. Collin Rees and fiancé Johanna Bozuwa of Portland, Maine traveled the farthest to attend the reunion. Betty Gipple and Carol Winga of Washington, Iowa, traveled the least distance.

The next reunion will be held the third Saturday in June 2023 at the same location.

Officers for next year will remain the same, President, Bob Evans, Vice-President, Kay Davis, and Secretary-Treasurer, Sharon Rees.

Drink committee for next year will be Michelle Rees, chair, Melinda Rees and Joyce Hamilton
