Registration is now open for Self-Care Strategies for Resilient Individuals and Communities, an educational program from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Jefferson County. The program will be offered in-person on Feb. 26 at Fairfield Public Library. The program will run from 4:00 to 5 p.m.
“When you’re facing challenges, it’s extra important to take care of yourself,” said Courtney Burkhalter, County Director. “In this program you’ll explore six strategies to help you recharge and stay grounded.” During the session, participants will learn about self-care strategies. They will choose a few that best fit their life and create a plan to incorporate those strategies into their routine.
“Practicing self-care can help you feel more balanced, energized and strong every day,” Burkhalter said.
This program is being offered at no cost. Registration is not required. More information can be found online at https://www.extension.iastate.edu/humansciences/selfcare or by contacting Burkhalter at the Jefferson County Extension Office at 641-472-4166 or cburk@iastate.edu.
