Registration under way for trampoline, gymnastic classes
Registration is under way for trampoline and gymnastic classes planned by the Fairfield Park and Recreation Department.

Registration is under way for trampoline and gymnastic classes planned by the Fairfield Park and Recreation Department.
The trampoline classes are divided into four sessions. Session 1 begins Jan. 9 and meets for six consecutive Mondays. Session 2 begins Jan. 10 and meets for six consecutive Tuesdays. Session 3 begins Jan. 12 and meets for six consecutive Thursdays. Session 4 begins Jan. 14 and meets for six Saturdays, skipping Jan. 21.
Sessions 1, 2 and 3 are divided into classes for 3- to 6-year-old children, 7- to 18-year-old children and adults. Session 4 does not have an adult class.
Each class is limited to four people.
The fees are $30 for the youngest participants, $38 for the older participants and $42 for the adults.
The trampoline program is structured to help a gymnast develop balance, body positions, flexibility, self-confidence and strength. The program will teach basic to advanced skills at an individual level.
The gymnastics classes are divided into three sessions. Session 1 meets six consecutive Mondays beginning Jan. 9. Session 2 meets six consecutive Thursdays beginning Jan. 12. Session 3 meets six Saturdays beginning Jan. 14, skipping Jan. 21.
Sessions are divided into classes for 3- and 4-year-olds, 5- and 6-year olds, 7- to 9-year-olds and 10- to 14-year-olds. Session 3 also includes a class for advanced-elite.
Each class is limited to seven participants.
The fees are $30 for the 3- and 4-year-olds; $35 for the 5- and 6-year olds; $38 for the 7- to 9-year-olds; $42 for the 10- to 14-year-olds; and $80 for the advanced-elite.
The gymnastics program is structured to help develop balance, body positions, flexibility, self-confidence and strength. Skills, including floor tumbling, balance beam and bar movements, will be taught at an individual level.
All the classes will meet at the Roosevelt Community Recreation Center.
