Registration underway for youth art camp

The Fairfield Art Association announces it is time to register for its weeklong youth art camp.
This year's camp, with the theme 'Colorful Flora & Fauna,” will be 9-11:30 a.m. Aug. 5-9 in the Fairfield Art Association's studio at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.
The camp is open to students in second- through fifth-grades.
The week will be filled with a variety of colorful projects exploring different materials each day. The lineup of projects include: Creating their own 'Pipe Dream” similar to those downtown, garden flora watercolors, mixed media flora, jellyfish sculpture, Toucan glass painting, gelli printing, Fauna & Flora nature masks, and other smaller art experiences planned simultaneously throughout the week.
The local artists instructing both inside and outside the art studio including David Kraemer, Holly McDow, Eileen Hawthorne, Kella Tschopp, Jan Bork, Deb Doyle, David Pattison and Suzan Kessel.
Art camp ends with a grand 'Art Finale Exhibit” at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 9 in the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center's atrium lobby for the students, parents, family and guests. At the conclusion of the group exhibit, the artwork is taken home by the students.
Early registration is encouraged so art supplies can be purchased ahead. All materials are provided and included in the camp fee.
The number of students in the camp will be limited.
The camp fee is $100 per student for the full week, with an $80 fee for a second child in same family.

Registration is due by Aug. 2, with deposit or full payment.
