Committed to helping patients restore and improve their health, the therapists at Washington County Hospital and Clinics are now accepting appointments. As restrictions continue to be lifted, the Rehabilitation Services at WCHC are able to begin seeing patients in an outpatient setting. Effective Monday, May 26th, patients can call 863-3962 to schedule appointments for Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy.
Rehab patients may notice a few changes when coming on-site for an appointment. In accordance with social distancing measures and to provide patients a safe environment, the therapy gym will remain closed to gym members and a limited number of patients will be scheduled at a time to ensure appropriate distancing in the gym. Extra time will be scheduled in between therapies to institute appropriate cleaning procedures. Also, rehab patients will no longer enter through the south lobby. A designated entrance for Rehab Services is now accessible from the exterior of the building at the southeast end of the hospital campus. This entrance provides closer parking to the entrance and direct access to the department.
WCHC continues to restrict visitors. Patients should attend appointments alone unless a support person is necessary, in which case only one additional person is permitted. All patients will be screened upon entering the facility and are required to wear a face mask. To preserve personal protective equipment (PPE) including masks for the essential healthcare workers, patients are asked to provide their own mask.
Don't put off your healthcare, call to schedule an appointment today. WCHC is prepared and has implemented the necessary safety protocols and precautions to provide patients a safe environment for care.
