Cambridge Investment Research Inc. announced Ryan Reineke has been named chief operating officer. Reineke, also serving as the firm?s head of technology, assumes this role from Amy Webber, Cambridge?s president.
?Ryan has held an integral role for the last 13 years in positioning Cambridge as an innovative, progressive broker-dealer,? said Webber. ?Over the last three years, he has proven to be an extraordinary leader within the operations and service areas within the firm, and this complements his successes as a key architect in our technology strategies and the customizable solutions we offer for enhancing functionality, competitiveness and profitability for Cambridge advisors as independent business owners.?
Reineke joined Cambridge in 2001. As chief technology architect, he has led the introduction of one of the most innovative advisor workstations ? featuring advisor-friendly technology that is customizable for the broadest range of independent business models across the independent broker-dealer industry. Reineke?s executive responsibilities also include executive interface with clearing firms including Pershing and NFS as he leads teams in technology, trading, brokerage operations, supervision, partner support, imaging and document services. He also holds a collaborative leadership role in the development of WealthPort ? Cambridge?s strategic integration of the managed account experience for advisors and their clients.
Reineke holds a bachelor?s degree from the University of Florida and FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses. Prior to joining Cambridge, Reineke served with a software training company in Atlanta, Ga., and a technology start-up based out of Boulder, Colo.
?Cambridge?s successful growth as a leading independent broker-dealer continues because we have consciously built a legal structure, business plan, and superior management team with the goal of remaining privately controlled,? said Webber. ?Ryan?s expanded role as COO is an example of our focus on developing a team of young executives who are poised to assume increased leadership ? ensuring our future success and commitment to serving independent advisors with their business needs.
