Relay for Life gathering set March 1

A Jefferson County Relay for Life gathering for committee members, team captains, sponsors and those interested in becoming involved is set for 5:30 p.m. March 1 at the Fairfield Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store Club Room.

Organizer Kortney Heald explained this is not the regular monthly meeting, but a gathering of food, sharing ideas and fun.

?It was an impromptu event, but we felt it was necessary,? she said.

The gathering provides opportunities to pick up team packets and for those who would like to become more involved to check out the opportunities available.

The quilt being raffled this year will be available to view, and a light supper will be served.
