LIBERTYVILLE ? Financial Peace University classes start Sept. 27 at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville.
Class time is 5-7 p.m. Childcare will be provided.
The nine-week class offers a practical approach to financial management. The instruction is based on biblical fundamentals that are time tested and work. Session topics covered include dumping debt, saving for college, saving for retirement, stewardship, plus a number of other topics. Each session is two hours and consists of viewing a DVD and group discussion.
A preview night will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 16.

Surrender Concert Sept. 12 in Central Park
A free Surrender Concert begins at noon Sept. 12 in Fairfield?s Central Park.
The concert, will feature local musicians, including: Fairfield Friends Church; The Foursquare Church; FCOC Fairfield; E3 Youth Band from Faith Christian Outreach Church in Mt. Pleasant; Just Worship Band; and Amanda and Andrew Gazaway.
Surrender Concert, appropriate for all ages, is sponsored by local churches.
Concert goers are encouraged to bring chairs. No tickets are needed.
