The 100th Sheetz/Sheets reunion was held Sunday, July 28, 2019, at St. Mary's Hall in Keota, with 194 attending. After sign-in, relatives viewed pictorial displays by various families, copies of previous reunion write-ups, maps to pin their current places of residence, pictures of previous years' oldest/youngest attending, and were given a koozie marking the 100 year reunion.

A meal of barbecued pork, cheesy potatoes, baked beans, sweet corn, tomatoes, vegetables, fresh fruit, and drinks was served. Ice cream and brownies were served later. Tables were decorated with flowers, and memorabilia was displayed. A free will offering took place at sign-in. Patrick Cady gave the blessing before the meal.

A program followed the meal led by Cheryl Davison Dahlquist. The head of various Sheetz/Sheets families stood, introduced their branch of the family, and asked their family to stand and be recognized. The oldest family member attending at 86 was Pauline Sheetz Cady of Keota, daughter of Andy J. Sheetz. The youngest family member attending was 3-month-old Terrance MacGregor of Cedar Rapids, son of Whitney Fountain and great-great grandson of Maurine Sheets Dunbar. Coming the farthest were Becky Patlan and her sons Branden and Justin Sparby of Chula Vista, California, representing Imogene Sheetz Sparby, daughter of Andy J. Sheetz. Luann Sheets Cave, daughter of Harold Sheets, had the shortest distance to travel as she lives in the neighborhood. Joey Sheets and Cole Sheets presented results of the family golf tourney held earlier in the day at Lagos Acres. Family group pictures were taken to be shared on the Sheetz/Sheets group Facebook page.

Relatives came from numerous cities and towns in Iowa plus the states of California, Colorado, Virginia, Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas. The families of Adam Sheets, Godfrey Sheetz Sr., Godfrey Sheetz Jr., John Sheetz, Otto Sheetz, Clara (Sheetz) Carris, Andy J. Sheetz, Henry Fulton Sheets, Sarah and 'Ohio” Gottfried Sheetz, Horace Sheetz, Fred Sheetz, Hubert Sheetz, Emma (Sheets) Tinnes, and Merle Sheetz were represented.

The 101st reunion will be held July 26, 2020, in Keota.
