Reunions: Lockridge Victory No. 8 School, country schools, Samuelson family

LOCKRIDGE VICTORY NO. 8 SCHOOL

LOCKRIDGE ? The Lockridge Victory No. 8 School, located about 1.5 miles east of Four Corners, will celebrate its 120th anniversary Sept. 18.

Former students and teachers, descendants of both, and others interested are invited to attend.

COUNTRY SCHOOLS

BATAVIA ? A country schools reunion for the former students and teachers of the Hickory Ridge, Centennial, No. 7, Cross Lane, Bogus, Hazel Dell, Locust Grove No. 3 and Indiana No. 1 schools will be Sept. 10.

Activities will begin at 5 p.m. at the Batavia Senior Center. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.

Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish to share and their own table service. Coffee and ice tea will be provided.

SAMUELSON FAMILY

The annual reunion of the descendants of Andrew and Jenny Heisel Samuelson will be held Aug. 28.

The family will meet for a carry-in basket dinner at noon at the Fairfield Senior Citizen Center.
