Rev. Rebecca Fisher to serve at Old Threshers ecumenical service

Rev. Rebecca A Fisher, MBA, MDiv, BS, will be this year?s preacher at the Midwest Old Threshers ecumenical service on Sunday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m., at the Family Tent.

Fisher?s professional ministry began when she was licensed to preach in 1996 at First Baptist Church of Gary, Ind. The American Baptist Churches, USA later ordained her the fall of 2004. She has been serving in the United Methodist Church since 2004 and was ordained an elder in full connection in June 2010. Rebecca has served as pastor in Ft. Wayne, Ind., Wabash, Ind., and in Winona Lake, Ind., as the Senior Pastor of Fairview United Methodist Church.

In her 17 years in ministry, she has also served as an evangelist, missionary and missionary team leader to Mexico, Romania, Prague and the Czech Republic.

Fisher is a graduate of Columbia International University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree graduating Cum Laude. She double majored in Bible and in Music-Vocal Performance. She also holds a Master of Divinity Degree in Pastor Parish Ministries from Anderson University. Fisher completed a Master of Business Administration in Executive Management in January of 2014, and plans to pursue doctoral level studies in the future.

She is currently employed with the Iowa Conference of the United Methodist Church as a Leadership Development Minister for Evangelism and New Ministry Development
