The Henry County Retired Senior Citizens? Rhythm Rockers recently entertained residents of Good Samaritan Society in Keosauqua, including Mildred Ferguson, seated. The group has finished first several times at the Iowa State Fair in the senior talent competition. While the majority of songs they perform are from the 1930-40s and early ?50s, Rhythm Rockers also sing songs from the Civil War era and modern pop standards. Under the direction of Paula Turner Coastes, the Rhythm Rockers travel around southeast Iowa performing at nursing homes, hospitals, churches and other special events. Members are from Henry County and surrounding towns.
