Rita Harmeyer, 88, of West Point, Iowa passed away at 4:56 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018, at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.

Friends may call after 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Schmitz Funeral Home in West Point where the family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A Parish Rosary will be recited at 3:00 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in West Point .

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in West Point.
