Aug. 31, 2022 2:49 pm
Cynthia Parker and John Rohdy are celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2022.
Cynthia Jeanne Parker, daughter of Everett and Vera Parker, and John Frederick Rohdy, son of Dale and Mary Rohdy, were united in marriage on Sept. 2, 1972 at the Hillsboro Christian Church. Reverend Kenneth Harden presided over the ceremony.
John and Cindy started their married life in Mt. Pleasant before moving to rural Farmington in 1977 where they raised three children: Jeremy (Karla) Rohdy of New London, IA; Alison (Amanda) Rohdy of North Augusta, SC; and Chad (Ashley) Rohdy of Anamosa, IA. They have six grandchildren: Kristen, Haley, Easton, Stetson, Ellory, and Everett.
The couple invite friends to join them in celebrating this occasion with a cake and punch reception on Sunday, Sept. 4 from 1-4 p.m. at the River Valley Lodge in Farmington. No gifts requested; your presence is your present.
