Rush hour in Des Moines? No, it's actually the Washington County Fair's Demolition Derby performed before a huge crowd Wednesday night, July 17. The crowd cheered as the cars plowed into one another, but the excitement turned into concern when one of the cars caught on fire. But the Washington Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire and the driver was safe. In fact, he got back in his car and continued to compete in the derby.
