The Washington Public Library and University of Iowa are partnering to bring Russian Cultural Performances to the library this Friday, Oct. 23, at 12:15 p.m. Sasha Burdin is a piano soloist and chamber musician from Bryask, Russia, who focuses on the music of the Romantic and Post-Romantic composers while also performing a stylistically diverse repertoire. Burdin?s performance has been arranged by ArtsShare at the University of Iowa. Kirill Timurovich Azernyi has published two books of prose and is in Iowa as part of the International Writing Program. His participation is made possible by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State.
