S.H.A.R.E. orders due
Orders are due July 6 for the S.H.A.R.E. Iowa Inc. food packages available in July.
Orders can be placed by calling the St. Mary Catholic Church office at 472-3179 or the Southern Iowa Economic Development Association office at 472-6140. Orders also can be placed online at www.shareiowa.org. The pickup date will be at 8 a.m. July 21 at the Fairfield Eagles Club.

Orders are due July 6 for the S.H.A.R.E. Iowa Inc. food packages available in July.
Orders can be placed by calling the St. Mary Catholic Church office at 472-3179 or the Southern Iowa Economic Development Association office at 472-6140. Orders also can be placed online at www.shareiowa.org. The pickup date will be at 8 a.m. July 21 at the Fairfield Eagles Club.
Several different packages are available; participants can purchase one or more in any combination.
The $25 ?best value? package includes chicken breast, pork rib patties with barbecue glaze, beef meatballs, honey ham deli meat, ground turkey breast, Colby-Jack cheese, garlic red-skin mashed potatoes and seasonal produce.
The $13.50 grocery package includes Colby-Jack cheese, garlic red-skin mashed potatoes and seasonal produce.
The $13.50 meat-only package includes chicken breast, pork rib patties with barbecue glaze, beef meatballs, honey ham deli meat, ground turkey breast.
The $20 breakfast box includes smoked bacon, french toast sticks, hash browns, bacon-egg-and-cheese bites and sausage-egg-and-cheese bites.
The $23 grill box has sirloin steaks, boneless chops, pork tenderloin, chicken breasts, hamburger and Italian sausage.
The $26 variety box has beef brisket in barbecue sauce, turkey medallions, ground beef, smoked bacon, hash browns, vegetable blend and strawberries.
The $20 fajita box has cooked taco meat, cooked chicken breast strips, peppers and onions and flour tortillas.
Participants who order one of the main food packages also have the option to order ?choice? items.
The choice items for July include: a $7.50 package of sausage biscuits; a $6 package of chicken breasts; a $5 package of cooked cheddar chicken rings; and a $3.50 apple pie.
Food packages are subject to changes.
The nonprofit food-buying organization offers meal food packages at reduced costs through its volunteer-run distribution system. Participants do not have to meet income guidelines. Participants are asked to volunteer at least two hours to an activity of their choice.
