Orders are due Feb. 8 for the S.H.A.R.E. Iowa Inc. food packages available in February.
Orders can be placed by calling the St. Mary Catholic Church office at 472-3179 or the Southern Iowa Economic Development Association office at 472-6140. Orders also can be placed online at www.shareiowa.org. The pickup date will be at 8 a.m. Feb. 23 at the Fairfield Eagles Club.

Orders can be placed by calling the St. Mary Catholic Church office at 472-3179 or the Southern Iowa Economic Development Association office at 472-6140. Orders also can be placed online at www.shareiowa.org. The pickup date will be at 8 a.m. Feb. 23 at the Fairfield Eagles Club.
Seven different main packages are available; participants can purchase one or more in any combination.
The $25 ?best value? package includes 1-pound of 96 percent extra lean ground beef; four 4-ounce bacon-wrapped pork chop fillets; a 20-ounce bag of ready-to-cook breaded chicken breast strips; 6.4 ounces fully cooked Jimmy Dean pork sausage patties; a 2-pound bag of chicken noodle soup; eight 2.25-ounce ready-to-bake buttermilk biscuits; and fresh seasonal produce.
The $13.50 grocery package includes the bag of chicken noodle soup; the ready-to-bake buttermilk biscuits; and fresh seasonal produce.
The $13.50 meat-only package includes the ground beef; bacon-wrapped pork chop fillets; bag of ready-to-cook breaded chicken breast strips; and the Jimmy Dean pork sausage patties.
The $15 breakfast box includes 12 4.9-ounce sausage, egg and cheese croissants made by Jimmy Dean.
The $14 barbecued pork sandwich box includes 12 5.3-ounce Hillshire Farms fully cooked barbecued pork on sweet twister buns.
The $15 5-pound chicken breast strips box has fully cooked grilled chicken breast strips seasoned with citrus and pepper.
The $20 assorted meat box contains four 5-ounce choice sirloin steaks; four 4-ounce chicken breasts; four 5-ounce boneless pork chops; and 1-pound ground beef.
Participants who order a main food packages also have the option to order one or more ?choice? items.
The choice items for February are: 2.5 pounds of Sea-Pak jumbo butterfly shrimp with crunchy breading for $12.50; 2 pounds of chicken breast nuggets for $5.75; 5 pounds of Ore-Ida hash brown triangle wedges for $6.25; and 3 pounds of boneless, skinless individually quick-frozen, trimmed and ready to cook.
Food packages are subject to changes.
The nonprofit food-buying organization offers meal food packages at reduced costs through its volunteer-run distribution system. Participants do not have to meet income guidelines, but are asked to volunteer two hours to an activity of their choice.
