S.H.A.R.E. orders due Friday
Orders are due Friday for the S.H.A.R.E. Iowa Inc. food packages available in March.
Orders can be placed by calling the St. Mary Catholic Church office at 472-3179 or the Southern Iowa Economic Development Association office at 472-6140. Orders also can be placed online at www.shareiowa.org. The pickup date will be the morning of March 24 at the Fairfield Eagles Club.

Orders can be placed by calling the St. Mary Catholic Church office at 472-3179 or the Southern Iowa Economic Development Association office at 472-6140. Orders also can be placed online at www.shareiowa.org. The pickup date will be the morning of March 24 at the Fairfield Eagles Club.
Several different packages are available; participants can purchase one or more in any combination.
The $25 ?best value? package includes meatballs, roast beef deli meat, boneless chicken breast, turkey medallions, pepperoni stuffed sandwiches, frozen broccoli spears, shredded cheddar cheese and fresh seasonal produce.
The $13.50 grocery package includes just the broccoli, cheddar cheese and fresh produce, while the $13.50 meat-only package includes just the meatballs, roast beef deli meat, boneless chicken breast, turkey medallions and pepperoni stuffed sandwiches.
Other packages include 60 pork sausage links wrapped in blueberry pancakes for $17; 5 pounds of grilled chicken breast patties for $15; a 13-ounce sausage pizza in a foil pan that can grilled or put in the oven for $15; and a pasta package with stuffed shells, stuffed manicotti, cheddar perogies, sun-dried tomato rigatoni, meat tortellini, cheese ravioli and spinach and cheese rigatoni for $18.
Participants who order one of the main food packages also have the option to order ?choice? items.
The choice items for March include: a 5-pound boneless honey ham for $15; a 10- to 12-pound whole turkey for $13; a pork sirloin roast for $5.50; and cheesecake and strawberries for $6, although the food packages are subject to changes.
The nonprofit food-buying organization offers meal food packages at reduced costs through its volunteer-run distribution system. Participants do not have to meet income guidelines. Participants are asked to volunteer at least two hours to an activity of their choice.
