S.H.A.R.E. orders due March 14

Orders are due before March 14 for the S.H.A.R.E. Iowa Inc. food packages available next month.

Orders can be placed by calling the St. Mary Catholic Church office at 472-3179 or the Southern Iowa Economic Development Association office at 472-6140. Orders also can be placed online at www.shareiowa.org.

The pickup date will be at 8 a.m. March 29 at the Fairfield Eagles Club.

Several different packages are available; participants can purchase one or more in any combination.

The $25 ?best value? package includes: 20 ounces of fully cooked breaded Tyson chicken chunks; four 5-ounce pork tenderloin tips made by Omaha Steaks; 14 ounces of Farmland cubed turkey; 1 pound of southwestern-blend chicken stir-fry skillet meal; a six-count box of blueberry cereal bars; and an assortment of seasonal produce.

The $13.50 grocery package includes: a six-count box of blueberry cereal bars; and and an assortment of seasonal produce.

The $13.50 meat-only package includes: 20 ounces of fully cooked breaded Tyson chicken chunks; four 5-ounce pork tenderloin tips made by Omaha Steaks; 14 ounces of Farmland cubed turkey; 1 pound of southwestern-blend chicken stir-fry skillet meal.

The $18 Breakfast Sliders package includes 48 1.27-ounce egg, turkey sausage and cheese sliders.

The $22 Pork Chop box includes 16 6-ounce boneless pork chops.

The $21 Steak Strips box includes 6 pounds of Tyson steak strips, packaged in eight 12-ounce bags.

The $22 Seafood box includes: 1 pound of jumbo shrimp; and 1 pound of cod fillets.

The choice items for March are:

? A $13.50 package of 12 6.25-inch, personal-sized, deep-dish pepperoni pizzas;

? A $5.50 4-pound bag of Potato Smiles hash browns;

? A $10 Farmland spiral ham weighing about 4 pounds; and

? A $5 9-inch chocolate satin pie with a chocolate cookie crust and rich chocolate filling topped with whipped cream and chocolate curls.

Food packages are subject to changes.

The nonprofit food-buying organization offers food packages at reduced costs through its volunteer-run distribution system. Participants do not have to meet income guidelines. Participants are asked to volunteer at least two hours to an activity of their choice.
