S.H.A.R.E. taking food orders for November and Thanksgiving

S.H.A.R.E. Iowa Inc., a nonprofit food-buying organization, is offering holiday meal food packages at reduced costs in November. The Thanksgiving dinner package features a 10- to 12-pound turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy and dinner rolls.

A fresh produce assortment will include celery, apples, oranges and sweet potatoes.

A pumpkin pie is included for dessert.

Orders for the $28 package can be placed through Nov. 4 by calling the St. Mary Catholic Church office at 472-3179 or the Southern Iowa Economic Development Association office at 472-6140, or online at www.shareiowa.org.

The pickup is the morning of Nov. 19 at the Fairfield Eagles Club.

Those ordering food packages are not required to meet income guidelines, but it is recommended they volunteer two hours of time toward community service of their own choosing.

S.H.A.R.E. is also taking orders for its November food packages.

Orders are due Nov. 4, with pick up Nov. 19 at the Eagles Club.
