Sacha Club talks about Ainsworth Community Club’s outdoor bulletin board

SACHA CLUB MEETS
The November meeting of the Sacha Club was held Monday, November 25. President Brenda Bean opened the meeting introducing Angie VanGundy from Sleep in Heavenly Peace. She gave an interesting program about making and providing beds for children in the Washington County area. There is always a need for workers and funds.
Roll call was answered by eleven members telling "what is your favorite part of your bed?“
Linda McNeill gave the minutes of the last meeting. They were approved as read.
The Treasurer's report was given by Karen Meghelsen.
Old Business: Discussion about the outdoor bulletin board for the Ainsworth Community Center. Options are still being processed. The craft show reports were given and suggestions on how to improve next year's event. Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a great success.
The meeting closed with the club Collect.
Brenda served refreshments in the Fall theme and was enjoyed by all.
The next meeting will be December 16 at Jolene Colthurst's home.
LIONS CLUB MEETING
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday evening, November 25,
2024 for their regular meeting at 7 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Community Room with eleven members present.
President Scott Davis opened the meeting leading the Pledge to the Flag and President Davis offered prayer as well.
Old Business: The Christmas dinner at Kalona was further discussed and the club will be going to Miller"s Homestead Cooking on Tuesday, December 10 at 6:30 p.m.
Lion Finke brought the cards that are to be mailed out soon for the club's Christmas Drawing on Saturday, December 14. There will be a 4-H Bake Sale beginning at noon, with Santa arriving at 12:30 and the Drawing to begin at 1 p.m. Area residents will be receiving cards in the mail and there will also be some available at the door. People are asked to bring lawn chairs.
President Davis handed out Patches: Members Satisfaction Awards for years of Service to the following: Larry Love -50 years; Joel
Greene- 45; Scott Davis-35 years; Luetta Greene- 30 years: Billie Jo
Rose-15 years and Lance Miller- 10 years. Darrell Egli also received recognition for 55 years of service and Mindy Wilson for 15. Both were unable to be present.
There was discussion about the upcoming Pancake Supper in February and the date was set for February 22, 2025. It will be held at the Fire Station from 4-7 p.m.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
Tail Twister Finke entertained with some Thanksgiving trivia and random topics.
Delicious Refreshments were served by the Greene's.
THANKSGIVING HAPPENINGS
Joe and Alice Hochstetler spent Thanksgiving Day with JB and Carla Hochstetler, Greta and Mussie in Syracuse, Indiana. They were joined by Tim and Kim Hochstetler, Alena, Bennett and Corina from Goshen and Matt and Ilona Roberts and Grady from Milton, as well as Carla's mother, Ruth Hathaway and her sister Anita from Goshen. Lara Hochstetler of Kalona accompanied her parents and they all returned home Sunday evening.
Thanksgiving guests of Jesse, Betsy and Preston Love of Ainsworth were Carolyn Love and Bruce Davis and Larry Love, all of Crawfordsville, Sonya Love-Smith and Audrey and friend Ben Wells of Keosauqua. Tyler and Maggie Robertson, Kinsley, Noah and Alyvia of Mt.
Pleasant joined them later in the day.
Visitors in the home of Gene and Betty Lintz over the Thanksgiving holiday were David and Missi Lintz of Flower Mound, TX., Kaitlin Lintz of Tulsa, OK., and Darren and Stacy Lintz of Crawfordsville.
Larry and Donna Fletcher were guests of Brad and Carol Fletcher in Cedar Falls Thanksgiving Day. Others present were Clint and Caitlin Atkins and Emma Fletcher and Ryleigh Reed, all of Hudson, Mick and Kathy Garris and Brian and Carla Haymond, all of Winfield and Brennan Haymond of Des Moines.
Doug and Carol Steele's guests were Doug and Carrie Wilkerson, Emma Wilkerson and friend, Andrew of Center Point and Cory and Katie Steele, Kylee and Clayton of Crawfordsville.
Mike and Shirley Massey and Shirley's mother Ramona Von Sprecken joined other family members in the home of their daughter, Rebecca and Brad Groothuis in Marion.
Guests in the home of Billie Jo Rose were David and Joi Dellamuth of Williamsburg and Kevin Rose.
