Sacha Club will host blood drive

Sacha Club met Dec. 17, 2018, at the home of Jolene Colthurst. Eleven members attended. Guests Marge Lasek and Kitch Shatzer were welcomed.

Discussion held about the Sacha Craft Show held on Nov. 3, 2018, at the Highland Middle School. Twenty-six vendors participated and program reports were given with suggested changes for next year's event. All profits from this event go toward the Sacha Club's scholarship fund.

Kathi Bean reported Sacha Club will host the Mississippi Valley Blood Drive at the Ainsworth Community Church on Feb. 18, 2019. More information to come when they receive the calling lists from Mississippi Valley Blood Bank.

Annual support for the Ainsworth Community Church Missions was discussed. A monetary donation will be made for this project.

The next meeting will be on Jan. 28, 2019, at Ainsworth Community Church. Brenda Bean is coordinating the program on Hats For Heros. Members will be making hats for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. Discussion was held regarding what supplies to bring. Members were reminded to bring their sewing machines.

A gift exchange followed the meeting where holiday refreshments were served by hostess Jolene Colthurst.
