Salsa winners announced

Washington Farmers Market master Bob Shepherd, left and Heather Fedler, right, presented honors Thursday that had been won during the annual taster?s choice salsa contest held Sept. 3. Lois Wilson of Muscatine, second, won awards for the third most first-place votes, the second choice and the second most total votes. The Guzman family, represented by Kasandra Guzman, third, received an award for tying with the second highest number of first-choice votes. Nita Rose Miller, fourth, received the most first-place votes, the third highest second-place votes, and the third number of total votes. Carrie Mallory of L?il Gems received awards for the second most first-place votes, the highest number of second-place votes and the most total votes.
