Samuel Waterman, 79, of Danville, died February 28, 2019 in Washington.

He was born February 19, 1940 in Stronghurst, to Clemens "Tim" and Olive Kissick Waterman. June 12, 1960 he married Wanda Getchell. She died in 1987. He was a graduate in Media, Illinois and a member of Danville Baptist Church. He worked at Burlington Tent and Awning, IAAP, and GE. He enjoyed time with his granddaughter and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by daughters, Christina Consbrock, New London and Melanie Waterman, Quincy; sons, Tony, West Point and Michael, Danville; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren; brothers, William and John; sister, Shirley Stevenson. He was preceded by his parents and wife; two brothers; and three sisters.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 11:00, Saturday, March 9 at Danville Baptist Church. Rev. Jack Edmission will officiate. According to his wishes, his body has been cremated; inurnment will be in Jaggar Cemetery, Danville. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.
