Santa to visit Batavia Saturday morning

Santa is due to arrive in Batavia Saturday morning Dec. 14 at the American Legion Building.

He will visit with Batavia children up to 12 years of age after a short Christmas movie that will start around 9 a.m. Each child will receive a gift and a sack of candy and fruit from Santa.

Again this year, goodie deals will be filled and delivered to the shut-ins and senior citizens in the community.

Anyone looking for cookies, candy or other goodies should contact Karen Smith at 641-799-0387, or Tycene Weber at 641-919-4442, or take them to the Legion about 8 a.m. so the plates can be filled.

This event wouldn't be possible without the help of local businesses and the friends of Christmas.
