Santa visiting kids Saturday in Batavia

BATAVIA ? Santa will be arriving by fire truck Saturday to visit with local Batavia children ages 12 and younger at the Batavia Fire Station.

A short movie and refreshments will start at 9 a.m., followed by a visit with Santa.

Again this year, goodie plates will be filled and delivered to the shut-ins and elderly in Batavia. Anyone wishing to donate cookies to help fill the plates can call Karen Smith at 647-799-0387 or Tycene Weber at 919-4442. Cookies also can be delivered at 8 a.m. Saturday to the fire station.

Santa?s annual visit to Batavia is sponsored by the city of Batavia, Batavia Fire Department, Batavia American Legion, Brewington and Sons, Batavia Days Committee, Batavia BP, Coca-Cola and the Fairfield Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store, and the Many Friends of Christmas.
