Sara Noel to celebrate 80th birthday

The children of Sara Jane Burkhart Noel have announced a celebration to honor their mother for her 80th birthday.

The celebration will be Saturday, March 18, 2023, from noon to 4 p.m. at the New London Community Center. Sara was born April 3, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant. She and her husband, Chuck Noel, currently live in Mt. Pleasant, but spent many years in New London where they raised their children and worked in the family hardware business.

Sara worked at Burkhart & Co and later at Motorola. Her children are Shane (Michael Doner) Noel, North Liberty, IA; Tim Noel, AZ; and Kelley (Michael) Herdliska, Solon, IA. Chuck and Sara have welcomed six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family requests no gifts. Cards are welcome and may be addressed to 809 East Burkey Lane, Mt. Pleasant IA 52641.
