Sartorius named SEC POY

The Southeast Conference came out with their boys? All-Conference teams this week and the list was filled with Panthers.
Mt. Pleasant had four of the six first teamers, including SEC Player of the Year Brady Sartorius. The Panthers also had two on the second team and two honorable mentions.

The Southeast Conference came out with their boys? All-Conference teams this week and the list was filled with Panthers.
Mt. Pleasant had four of the six first teamers, including SEC Player of the Year Brady Sartorius. The Panthers also had two on the second team and two honorable mentions.
Sartorius, a junior, scored 21.8 points per game this year to lead the conference and ran away with POY honors. He shot 58.6 percent on the year, led MPCHS with 71 steals and co-led the team with 108 assists.
Junior guards Jordan Magnani and Colin Mulford, and senior post Tom O?Connor were all named to the first team as well.
Magnani was second on the team with 12 points per game. He hit 41 three-pointers, co-led the team with 108 assists and was second in steals, with 58.
Mulford scored 8.7 points per game and hit a team-leading 47 three-pointers. He also pulled down 84 rebounds and dished out 50 assists, placing third in both categories.
O?Connor scored 9.6 points per game, shooting a team-leading 70.9 percent from the field. He led the team with 29 blocks and finished second in rebounds, with 133.
Second team All-SEC honors went to a pair of juniors, Kieran Kohorst and Jonathan Ita.
Kohorst scored 6.6 points per game and led the team with 136 rebounds this season. Ita scored 5.6 points per game and pulled down 63 rebounds.
A couple more juniors made the honorable mention list. Maison Ashton (2.9 PPG) and Brody McGhghy (2.4 PPG) were named.
The Panthers also led the conference in Academic All-Conference names. Juniors Ashton, Ita, Kohorst, Magnani, McGhghy, Mulford, Sartorius and senior Brock Wilson were all named to the team.

SECOND TEAM: Damon Wolter (12), Keokuk; Jaivonn Willis (11), Washington; Treaver Kokjohn (11), Ft. Madison; C.J. Richardson (12), Ft. Madison; Kieran Kohorst (11), Mt. Pleasant; Jonathan (11), Mt. Pleasant.
HONORABLE MENTION: Isaac Dunlap (12), Keokuk; Brendan Plate (12), Keokuk; Gavin Thompson (12), Keokuk; Mason Rich (12), Washington; Dalton Myers (11), Washington; Tristin Waugh (10), Fairfield; Dante Cingire (11), Fairfield; Logan Rashid (10), Ft.
