Schindler, Perez married July 6 in Austin, Texas

Melinda Jane Schindler, daughter of Richard and June Schindler of Fairfield, married Robert Ben Perez, son of Robert Perez and Susie Perez of Austin, Texas, Saturday, July 6, 2013, at House on the Hill in Austin, Texas.

Jerry Stookey officiated the ceremony, and Suzannah Schindler, the bride?s sister, presided over the vows.

The bride grew up in Fairfield and attended Maharishi School. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Grinnell College, as well as a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education.

The groom was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where he earned his bachelor?s degree in philosophy at St. Edward?s University. He also received a master?s degree in philosophy from the University of Missouri.

The couple make their home in Cambridge, Mass., where he is a grants officer at Harvard Stem Cell Institute, and she is a program manager at Mass Insight Education.
