Scholarship winner announced
The Washington Soil and Water Conservation District is pleased to announce the winner of the 2014 Dean Gerot Memorial Conservation Scholarship. The winner was selected from applicants across the county. The scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing further education in fields of agriculture or natural resources. Selection is based on leadership, academic achievement, and service.

This year?s scholarship was awarded to Kolton Greiner. He will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
Kolton is the son of Lindsay and Shelley Greiner of Keota. Kolton will attend Iowa State University and pursue a degree in animal science. His application was forwarded onto regional and state competition.
