Amber Schwartz, daughter of Bill and Carolyn Schwartz of Hedrick, and Blaine Gill, son of Bill and Sue Gill of Richland, were married April 9 at the Hedrick-Martinsburg Methodist Church in Hedrick with the Rev. Kim Gates officiating.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a strapless, slim A-line with a corset back. The gown, designed by Mori, was highly beaded on the neckline with scattered beading on the bottom. The bride also wore a chapel-length veil with a tiara. Her wedding jewelry included a pearl necklace, which belonged to the groom?s maternal grandmother, with earrings to match. She carried a pink rose and white stephanotis bouquet.
Maid of honor was Amanda Robertson, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jen Williams and Carolina Lopez; Amy Schwartz, the bride?s sister; and Allie Gill, daughter of the groom. They wore pink, floor length gowns with brown accents and carried pink hydrangea and white rose bouquets. Flower girl was Paige Lisk and ring bearer was Christian Lisk, niece and nephew of the bride.
Shane Gill, the groom?s brother, was best man. Groomsmen were Eric Reinier, Bob Ryan and Joe Lopez. Ryan and Lopez also were ushers and candle lighters.
The guest book attendant was Maureen Myers. Special guests were Dale and Betty Schwartz, Mary Wickersham and Lois Gill, grandparents of the couple.
The couple rode in a classic 1964 Chevy Impala, owned by Mike Hadley Jr., to the reception, which was held at Best Western Fairfield Inn. Aunt Rachel Green, Linda Copeland and Bev Neel cut and served the four-tier wedding cake for 150 guests.
The bride is employed as a nurse at Iowa Health Physicians in Des Moines. The groom is employed as a painter at Vermeer Manufacturing in Pella.
They reside in Pella following a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas.
