Scouting for food drive underway

Cub Scout Pack 242 and Boy Scout Troop 242 has announced that the yearly Scouting for Food collection is upon them. The familiar red donation bags have being placed on doors as of Saturday, Oct. 27, and will continue throughout the week. Donations of all non-perishable food will be accepted. They encourage the public to check that the donations are not out of date as they cannot be accepted, and to place the food items on the front porch on Saturday, Nov. 3, by 9 a.m. If one did not receive a red bag, any bag or box will do. One hundred percent of the food will stay in the Washington Area for distribution.
