Scribblers wrap-up their season with open readings of poems and stories

Nine Mt. Pleasant Scribblers met at the home of Rita Davis, June 3, 2014, with Karen Osborne as co-hostess. A light dinner of chicken salad sandwiches to cheesecake was served by the hostesses and enjoyed by all.

This was the final meeting for this ?season? of Scribblers. Members signed up for hosting, co-hosting and presentations for the next series of meetings, beginning in Oct. 2015. There will be ample opportunities for shared writings as well.

Shared writings were this evening?s program. Lively discussion, including book recommendations, accompanied many of the readings. Several members wrote cinquains in response to Kathy Wiley?s program last month. Information concerning writing contests and conferences was also shared. One member collected shared thoughts on aging for an essay she is preparing.

The group was adjourned until Oct. 7, 2015, and members left with delightful ?summer care packages? provided by the co-hostess.
