The SE Iowa Sierra Club and the Sustainable Living Coalition will host a potluck at 6:30 p.m. and a discussion at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Sustainable Living Coalition in Fairfield.
The speaker will be host Aubrey Alvarez, executive director of Eat Greater Des Moines.
Eat Greater Des Moines is a central Iowa-based non-profit organization that facilitates and builds connections to strengthen the area's food system. The Sustainable Living Coalition is working to create more cooperation between Jefferson and Polk counties around their respective local food systems through a working relationship with Eat Greater Des Moines.
