SEED Folk School offers workshops

The SEED Folk School is planning two upcoming workshops Saturday and April 26 at Stacy Maurer?s greenhouse on the northeast side of Abundance EcoVillage.

The first workshop, ?Drip Irrigation Workshop,? will be from 2-4 p.m. Saturday.

Participants will learn how to install a drip irrigation system in a garden, which will help save water.

A show-and-tell of the rainwater catchment and drip irrigation system in the greenhouse will be followed by a hands-on installation of more of the system.

The second workshop, ?Starting Seeds and Transplanting Workshop,? will be 2-4 p.m. April 26.

Maurer will begin by giving tips, and then participants will start some seeds in trays and also transplant some plants to the garden that were started one or two months ago.

A free-will donation will be collected at both workshops to benefit The SEED Folk School.
