Whether it’s out of love, for a living, or both, caregivers keep older Iowans happy and safe in their homes and communities.
These acts of love and compassion come in so many shapes and sizes that many people don’t even realize they’re a caregiver. Examples of caregiving include:
- Bringing in the mail
- Dropping off food or meals
- Stopping by for a safety check
- Responding to a medical event
- Managing medications
- Coordinating or providing professional services
