On May 30, 2007 as spring was turning into summer, Shane and Susan Barron welcomed their son, Sullivan Barron. Called Sully, he joined big sister Saige, now 21. His grandparents, Ron and Ida Barron and Evelyn and Paul McElhinney, were thrilled with this newest member of their families.
Sully has, like so many of his classmates, joined the Class of 2025 on day one. In high school, he has participated in baseball, golf, basketball, and band. He has also been a student council member. He was most proud to be on the golf team that was conference champs.
When not at school, Sully lists his hobbies as golfing, watching college sports, and country quizzes.
His proudest accomplishment is graduating from SCC before he graduates from high school.
When asked what’s special about his class he said, “We have stayed together and we all get along.” Sully’s advice to the underclassman is to just lock in and get your work done.
As the school year is fast approaching its conclusion, Sullivan is really looking forward to his last year of high school golf.
Susan and Shane Barron are the people he picked as the most special in his life. They have always loved, supported, and guided him throughout his whole life.
Sully’s plans after high school are to attend the University of Iowa and major in finance and of course become a Hawkeye!
Tiger Nation wishes Sully every good thing as he leaves NLHS. We have no doubt that he’ll make us all proud!
