The Washington Public Library has a number of events planned for September, and among them are:
Thursday, Sept. 2, 6 p.m.: A book reading and signing with author and veterinarian Mike Todd, author of “Riding with my Dad.” Todd writes under the name “Dr. Ninja.”
Thursday, Sept. 9, 6 p.m.: Jim Cuddeback will host an “Earth’s Bounty” program on “Farming: From the 1940s to Today in Iowa.”
Friday, Sept. 24, 9 a.m.: Book discussion on Iowa farming, history and childhood. To register, call 319-653-2726 or email Tammy Valentine at tammy.valentine@washington.lib.ia.us.
Thursday, Sept. 30, 6 p.m. Earth’s Bounty presents Tom Milligan performing a one-act play called “American Dreamer: The Life and Times of Henry A. Wallace.”
