Service clubs partner to support YMCA
The Washington Noon Kiwanis and the Washington Y's Men came together Monday, Oct. 22, to present a check to the YMCA following the ground breaking at the new location. During the summer the two clubs collaborated to operate a food stand for the Tractorcade event that was hosted in Washington. Club members worked together to serve breakfast to drivers and riders at the event. The clubs choose to donate proceeds from the joint effort to the YMCA. 'It was a truly great effort from two great service clubs in our community coming together to support a great new project” said Marty Beenblossom, one of the coordinators of the efforts.
