Seven WMU speech students go to state

Minfield-Mt. Union's Speech Team had a successful day on Saturday, Feb. 23, at district competition in Keokuk. WMU had 10 students participate. The following seven events/individuals will represent WMU as they advance to state competition on Saturday, March 9 at North Scott High School in Eldridge:
Hailey Allbaugh: Prose and Storytelling
Madison Brady: Poetry and Musical Theater
Mollie Hinkle: Poetry and Musical Theater
Liana Sweezer: Prose and Storytelling
Griffin Humphreys: Review and Radio News Broadcasting
Dane Sweezer: After Dinner Speaking
Dakota Silva: Prose
Also representing WMU at contest today with additional strong performances were Ray Hampton, Jenna Pfeiffer and Garrick Dodson.
