Shakespeare Club offers free film showing, reception

Shakespeare Club of Burlington will present 'Will Watch III,” a free film showing of Shakespeare's hilarious comedy Much Ado About Nothing on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Capitol Theater in Burlington.

There will be two showings, a matinee at 2 p.m., and an evening showing at 7 p.m. There will be a free appetizer reception in the Capitol Annex, beginning at 5:30 p.m., prior to the evening show. In addition, the Capitol Theater's Young Actors Group will give a 30-minute, Shakespeare themed performance on the Capitol stage at 5 p.m. All events are free to the public.

This acclaimed film version of Much Ado About Nothing stars Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington, Keanu Reeves, Michael Keaton, and other noted actors in the telling of the comedic 'battle between the sexes” of Beatrice and Benedick, and is sure to bring belly laughs to those who see it, even those who think they don't like Shakespeare or can't understand it.
