The Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office responded to an accident at 1:07 p.m. Tuesday on Key Boulevard, north of Libertyville Road. According to the accident report, a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Beth Ann Canaday, 800 Sunset Drive, was northbound when Canaday reached down to retrieve a CD. The Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office responded to an accident at 1:07 p.m. Tuesday on Key Boulevard, north of Libertyville Road. According to the accident report, a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Beth Ann Canaday, 800 Sunset Drive, was northbound when Canaday reached down to retrieve a CD. Her vehicle crossed the centerline and made contact with a southbound 2008 Dodge Avenger driven by Calvin Wayne Steemer of Burlington. Canaday was cited for improper use of lanes and no proof of insurance. Estimated damages are $5,000 to Canaday?s vehicle and $7,000 to Steemer?s vehicle.
