The Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office responded to an accident at 1:23 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 1 North at Airport Road. Alexander Ray Lee Fitzwater of 808 West Grimes was driving a 1997 Dodge Intrepid north on Highway 1 and did not see a 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass, driven by Tonia Marie Marasco of 404 S. Fourth St., Apt. 302, driving in front of him and beginning to turn left onto Airport Road. Fitzwater collided with the rear end of Marasco?s vehicle. The Cutlass had an estimated $100 in damages; the Intrepid had an estimated $2,000 in damages. A passenger in the Intrepid, Toby Walker of 58½ S. Main St., was injured. Marasco was cited for no proof of insurance. Fitzwater was cited for no proof of insurance and following too closely.

Jessica Kay Gibson, 25, of 2956 252 BL, was arrested at 2:27 a.m. today at Round Prairie Park in Lockridge, charged with public consumption or intoxication.

Gary Joseph Schachtner, 55, of Packwood, was arrested at 3:36 a.m. today at his home, charged with domestic abuse assault.
