Shoulder work on W38 to begin

On Monday, Oct. 19, Norris Asphalt Paving Co., LC of Ottumwa is planning to begin working on the shoulders of W38 (Ginkgo Avenue) from Hwy 92 to the Wellman city limits. This project is necessary to repair the granular shoulders and improve the safety for the traveling public. The roadwork will be done under traffic with the use of flaggers and pilot cars to direct traffic through the work zone. Because of this moving construction operation and the equipment involved, the public is encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work zone or to find alternate routes. It is anticipated work will be completed in about two weeks, weather and contractor?s schedule permitting.
